Mission
To rebuild the social fabric through the continuous development of a culture of peace by implementing models of psycho-social care for children, adolescents and young people in contact with violence in Mexico.
Reinserta is the leading NGO in Mexico that works in the emotional and social recovery of children and adolescents who have been exposed to traumatic situations derived from contact with the criminal justice system.
In 2013, Reinserta was created with the goal of changing the security of the country Understanding that the problems of the Prison System were severe and far-reaching, we decided to bet on working with the most vulnerable populations: children, adolescents, youth and mothers in contact with prisons in Mexico. For more than 7 years we built and strengthened successful models of psycho-social care for children born and living in prison with their mothers and for juvenile offenders.
Along the way, we realized that in order to rebuild the social fabric, we had to not only look at the prisons and begin to look at children and youth marked by violence. Now, we are growing towards creating a Care Center for children and adolescents who have been survivors of violence. Joining our learnings, we continue working to transform the lives of children and adolescents in contact with violence in Mexico.
